That those hoping for a price reduction on the $400 PlayStation 3 were left wanting doesn’t bother John Koller, director of hardware marketing for Sony Computer Entertainment America, who chatted about the announcement earlier this afternoon.

“Right now we feel very good with where the PlayStation 3 is, We’re seeing the development of new franchises like LittleBigPlanet, which with we’re really looking to promote new types of gameplay. And we just launched Killzone 2, which is doing well,” he said. “We look at the PS3 as being a tremendous value. But we continue to monitor every aspect of that business as well.”

Its predecessor, the PlayStation 2, now in its ninth year in the U.S. market, still has plenty of life in it, Koller says. As many as 80 new games are due for the PS2 this year, which would bring its catalog of available games to about 1,900. “In many ways, the entertainment, the games, available for the PS2 are going to be much more social and sports-oriented,” he says. “It’s families playing with families.”

That hits the target that Sony has with the new price point: lower-income, or lapsed, gamers or young families who “particularly giving this economy are looking for evergreen entertainment,” Koller says. “There’s no reason to take (the PS2) on a retirement tour anytime soon.”

The latter is a bundle of Windows Server and Exchange, among other things, for businesses with 50 or fewer people while the new product, Windows Server 2008 Foundation, is only the operating system and is aimed at single-processor servers with fewer than 15 users.

The new Windows version is Microsoft’s answer to the server equivalent of Netbooks, ultra-low cost servers aimed at the smallest of businesses. The product will only be sold preinstalled on new machines.

CEO Steve Ballmer mentioned the product was coming and outlined the rationale at a meeting with financial analysts in February.

“From a revenue perspective, we are introducing a new low cost, low price, low functionality Windows server (version),” he said. “If you take a look at it, as server prices, hardware prices have come down, we don’t exactly have a Netbook phenomenon, but if somebody can buy a $500 server, they’re a little loathe to spend $500 for the server operating system that goes with it. So we have something that’s akin to Netbook at the server level, and we’ll be introducing our Foundation edition over the next month or two.”

Microsoft also said that, through the end of September, it will donate a portion of its revenue from Windows Server Foundation to TechSoup.org and Telecentre.org, two groups that help bring technology to nonprofit organizations.

“We see this as an opportunity not only to deliver a technical foundation for business growth, but also to create a financial foundation for community,” Ballmer said in a statement on Wednesday.

I don’t really know what is a real tendency of many people to become members of the legislative. Are they just chase a popularity? Politics transform those who initially is not who, suddenly blossom into famous people in a moment.

And I’m asking in the deepest of my heart. What they are looking for to be a members of the legislative candidates? Fame or the vision and mission that they take it?

I do not blame anyone. However, this is only speculation for us to become the nation of Indonesia. I ever see through TV, members of legislative candidates from a party (the 5th: D). huadu! really shallow.

In my opinion become a member of the legislative body is not to try. Not a place for learning. Become a member of the legislature to apply what we have learned! If we are still legislative study, where the nation would take us this?

Microsoft release newest operation system called Windows 7. They said: Faster and Easier.

Actually, i haven’t seen with my own eyes how fast it is. That i know, there are many improvement. Yes, they wanted to be faster and easier for the user. Several feature they made, and here is some:

Improved taskbar and full-screen previews

The taskbar at the bottom of your screen is what you use to switch between the applications you’ve got open. In Windows 7 you can set the order in which the icons appear and they’ll stay put. They’re easier to see, too. Click once on the new large icons or bigger preview thumbnails and you’re ready to go. You can even see a full screen preview before switching to the window.

Jump Lists

With Windows 7, we focused on keeping the things you use most right in front of you. One example: The new Jump List feature. It’s a handy way to quickly reach the files you’ve been working with. To see the files you’ve used recently, just right click on the icon on your taskbar. So right-clicking on the Word icon will show your most recent Word documents. Plus, if there are other files you want to keep handy, you can just pin them to the Jump List.

New ways to work with Windows

Windows 7 simplifies how you work with the windows on your desktop. You’ll have more intuitive ways to open, close, resize, and arrange them. You can drag open windows to screen borders, so you’ll no longer have to click on tiny objects in the corner of a window to make it do what you want.

Maximize a window by dragging its border to the top of the screen, and return the window to its original size by dragging it away from the top of the screen. Drag the bottom border of a window to expand it vertically.

It’s easy to copy files or compare the contents of two windows by dragging the windows to opposite sides of the screen. As your cursor touches the edge, the window will resize to fill that half of the screen.

To see all your desktop gadgets, just drag your mouse to the lower right corner of your desktop. That’ll make all the open Windows transparent—making your desktop, and the gadgets on it, immediately visible. Want to minimize all your windows? One click and it’s done.

Last Friday my friend told me about this link. She said that link is really joyful. This noon, i remember my friend talk and without take any long time, i surfed to that site. Hoho. Yes, it is really funny see many movie purposed giving critism to the goverment. And see many funny picture of candidate legislative.

But, i really shocked!

When i see the movie, i was shocked because the actress who act in that video is Happy Salma (indonesian actress). I think that site made by students who really tired with our civilization who TALK ONLY NO ACT!

Amidst thumping techno and inside his own rocket factory, Tesla founder and CEO Elon Musk pulled the cover off his much-anticipated second car onThursday. The Model S five-door hatchback will go into production in late 2011 at a rate of 20,000 per year. Prices will start at $49,900 for the base model, a price that assumes the $7,500 current Federal tax credit available.

The car is all new from the ground up, sharing no parts or panels with the Roadster. A thin, flat battery pack rides underneath, freeing up the interior to seat as many as seven (as long as two of them are kids in the optional rear-facing seats). The lithium-ion battery packs will come in three sizes. The pack in the base model will offer a range of 160 miles, but you can order larger packs that will go 230 or 300 miles. With the charger built into the car, the S can accept 110-, 220- or as much as 440-volt recharges. At maximum voltage the car can recharge in 45 minutes. At 220 volts, which most typical suburban households have, recharge time is four hours. It’s overnight at 110 volts.

Musk said Tesla is thinking about renting the battery packs, so if you need to go to Las Vegas for the weekend you could slap the bigger pack underneath, for instance. Musk said swap-out time is less than it would take to install a gas tank, whatever that means.

The car will also be available as a lease, Musk said.

Body panels and chassis are made from aluminum, there are no composites.

For performance, Model S designer Franz von Holzhausen said, “You’d need a spatula to flip this over.” Top speed is listed at 130 mph and 0 to 60 mph will take 4.8 seconds for the Sport model, the quickest of the three offered. The standard model gets to 60 in 5.6 seconds and the base in 5.7 seconds “or so.” With production so far off, these figures could conceivably change.

The car will be manufactured in Southern California, not far from Musk’s Space X facility in Hawthorne, where he builds his rockets. The exact location of the factory was not announced.

By the car’s late-2011 start of production, Tesla could see plenty of competition from OEMs offering electric cars. But that’s a long way off.

I think that is no absolute winner here. It is up to you to choose. Each of these browser has each super-advantage. Which one is your best internet browser?

Here, i give you some consideration in several aspect:

1. Cold Start:

For cold start test, I run the programs (after windows finish loading) and then I measure time of loading until browser is ready for use. I measure 3 times and between any test I reset my pc. For other tests I also measured 3 times and then calculated average value… After first test, Chrome already jumped on the first place with unbolivable load of only 1,6 seconds. Opera was second with 3,7 second and surprise was Internet Explorer with just 0,1 second behind Opera. Safari started bad with very slow loading with over 10 seconds.

2. Warm Start
Warm start is the test when I run browser then turn it off and then start it again without turning or logging out from windows. I hardly got Chrome loading time in this case, since it was incredible fast. Safari, for a difference from last test, was now very fast to. Opera and Firefox are slower then first three.

3. Acid 2 test
Acid 2 is web standard compliance test. All browsers easily passed, but IE7 failed completely with ruining and deforming that poor face.

4. Acid 3 test
After easy job on ACID 2, neither one browser passed Acid 3 test. However Opera scored most points, ending it with the score of 85. Chrome was second with the score of 79. Some alpha and beta version of browser are already passing successfully this test…

5. CSS speed test
This test was taken from HowToCreate.co.uk!

I assigned browsers to celtickane.com javascript speed test. Every browser is tested three times and then average speed is calculated. Chrome won again with Safari on second, Opera on third, Firefox on 4th and as expected IE7 on the last place.

7. Memory usage
I started every browser with one tab. Opened google.com and then checked with Chrome “memory usage option” how much every browser take memory. IE7 taked easy victory here probably because parts of the IE are in some other windows processes which are not counted. Safari taked shameful last place with using over 65 MB for loading only one page.

8. Setup Size
Opera used to have smallest installation file but now Firefox takes that place. Interesting thing is that if you dont need additional languages then Opera setup.exe is smaller then 6 mb, however since Opera gives this file for download by default then I took that file in count.

9. Options
Firefox got second win. By using extension firefox becomes very powerful tool. Main reason why people use it. Opera widgets are silly thing in relation to extensions and UserJS are ok but not good as Firefox Extensions. However this bring another conclusion, Firefox without extension is nothing. If you integrate to many extension then Firefox performance decrease significantly, almost 4-6 times… As I already mentioned this tests are conducted on Firefox without single extension. Just Out of the box. Even with that problem, Firefox easily take win here leaving Opera behind. This category gives also to Chrome first last place since Chrome in current stage looks like a hairless person

Conclusion and FINAL SCORE.
Opera do not have advantage any more. Instead of advantage it is neither anymore the fastest. Chrome is ahead, then Opera on second place and Firefox just behind it (depends on personal taste). Safari is ok browser but weaker then first three, and it looks that Apple marketing is just a bunch of lies. IE7 is the bad thing. Just like a IE6. But since people get it free with windows they still use it. If we counted Opera powers of customizing skins, moving elements (such as menus, buttons, toolbars, adressbar, statusbar, skins) then Opera would be easily be on first place…

For myself, I am going to stick with the Opera. Chrome, even if it is fastest, dont have some key capabilities. Probably people who use Firefox think the same as Opera fans…

IE 8 has received mixed reviews from testers and early users. There have been published reports that the browser has caused system crashes and some Web sites don’t display properly using the software. The browser also has compatibility issues with web standard, such as CSS, HTML4 and XHTML when tested with The Web Standards Project’s Acid Test 3.

Microsoft is counting on IE 8 to help reverse erosion of its share of the Web browser market. Microsoft IE has been losing ground to competitors, such as Apple’s Safari, Google’s Chrome and the open-source Firefox from Mozilla.
